Digital Analytics as An Enabler for Operations Risk Management

DuPont is rolling out a digital roadmap across its operations to increase efficiency & sustain safety achievements. One of its key sites, Maydown, had some safety management processes that were paper-based with limited possibility to record data, report trends & run analytics. dss⁺ identified an opportunity to digitize the Permit to Work (PtW) system with an external vendor to increase contractor safety & reduce the cost of managing the effort. As a start, a pilot has been rolled out to customize and test the feasibility of digital Permit to Work (PtW). There were successful key outcomes from the pilot including time savings, real-time data collection, risk assessment improvement, etc. More details in the case study video
